Register for Kid’s Art Competition
Welcome to the Kids Art Competition at the Festival of India! Get ready to immerse yourself in a world of diverse artistic expressions that reflect the rich heritage and contemporary vision of young artists. Budding artists from ages 4 to 17 can participate and showcase their creativity. A panel of judges, including well-known artists, curators, and art critics will evaluate the artworks based on criteria such as artistic technique, originality, concept, and execution. Winners will be recognized at the festival and awarded prizes for their creations.

Eligibility
- Entry is free to all participants.
- All nationalities are welcome.
- Each competitor can submit only one entry.
- This is an artistic contest for young people, and parents will be strongly discouraged to actively assist their participating kids.
- There will be 4 age categories for Kids Art competition, with minimum age to be 4 years by 7/30/2026.
- Proof of age required at entry.
- Contest would be for an hour.
- The topic for each group will be given on the spot.
- Judging will be based on Creativity, Originality and usage of medium.
- Entries will be judged and winners would be announced on the same day.
- Please note that registration will close on 15th August, and we kindly request that no further registration requests be made beyond this date. Should there be any cancellations on the day of the competition, we will try to accommodate replacements where possible.

Materials
- Drawing Sheets will be provided.
- Participant needs to bring all necessary art materials. (ex. Pencils, erasers, crayons, pastels, markers, watercolor, acrylic paints, oil paints, mixed media, brushes, palette).
- The participants will then use their own art supplies to draw.
- Participant can use any medium from the options mentioned in their category.
- No outside drawing sheet will be allowed.
Prize
- Entries will be judged and winners would be announced on the same day.
- Prizes shall be awarded on stage at Belk Theater.
Timings
Competition will be held on Saturday, Sept 19, 2026 inside the Belk Theater. Results will be announced the same day, with prizes presented to the winners at the Booth Playhouse from 5:00 to 5:30 pm.
Group 1 (4 – 6 Yrs)
- Medium: Crayons/Pencils/Markers
- 11:30 AM – 11:45 AM Check-in
- 11:45 AM – 12:45 PM Competition
Group 2 (7 – 9 Yrs)
- Medium: Crayons/Pencils/Markers
- 12:30 PM – 12:45 PM Check-in
- 12:45 PM – 01:45 PM Competition
Group 3 (10 – 12 Yrs)
- Medium: Crayons/Pencils/Markers/Watercolors
